Contract Platform / DevOps Engineer Azure | Databricks | Outside IR35
Day Rate: £450 to £525 (Outside IR35)
Fully Remote (occasional visits to Leeds based offices would be welcomed)
Contract length: 3-month contract (high likelihood of extension)
Start date: September
I'm working with a fast-growing consultancy delivering a major cloud and data transformation programme within the Financial Services sector. They're looking for a Platform / DevOps Engineer to play a key role in migrating a large-scale data platform from a legacy estate onto a modern Azure and Databricks environment.
This is a hands-on role where you'll work closely with engineering and delivery teams to help build, automate and support a scalable cloud platform that will underpin the next phase of the client's data strategy.

What you'll be doing:
- Building and maintaining Azure cloud infrastructure and Databricks environments
- Developing and improving CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
- Driving platform reliability, security and operational excellence
- Working closely with delivery squads, supporting sprint planning and technical delivery
- Contributing to a wider cloud transformation, including landing zone improvements, infrastructure refactoring and integrations with platforms such as Snowflake and Palantir

What they're looking for:
You'll be someone who enjoys building and improving cloud platforms, automating infrastructure and working closely with engineering teams to enable successful delivery. Previous experience supporting cloud migrations, modern data platforms or enterprise transformation programmes would be highly beneficial.
