Platform Engineer (Azure)
Bedford (Hybrid)
£450–£525 per day - Outside IR35
Are you an experienced Azure Platform Engineer looking to help shape the cloud platform behind a market-leading software product?
We're working with an innovative software company looking for a Platform Engineer to take ownership of their Azure environment, ensuring it's secure, scalable and resilient. You'll play a key role in maintaining and evolving the cloud platform that supports their product engineering teams, enabling them to deliver new features quickly and reliably.
This is an opportunity to join a collaborative engineering team where platform, automation and cloud best practice are at the heart of everything they do.

What you'll be doing:
- Design, build and maintain the Azure platform.
- Drive platform automation and Infrastructure as Code.
- Manage cloud networking, identity, security and governance.
- Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
- Monitor platform health, performance and availability.
- Optimise cloud infrastructure for resilience, scalability and cost.
- Work closely with development teams to provide a reliable, secure and high-performing platform.
- Champion cloud best practice and continuous improvement.

What we're looking for:
- Strong commercial experience with Microsoft Azure.
- Experience building and supporting enterprise Azure platforms.
- Infrastructure as Code experience, ideally Terraform or Bicep.
- Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD.
- Strong understanding of networking, identity and security within Azure.
- Experience with monitoring, observability and platform performance.
- Passion for automation and modern platform engineering.
- Previous experience supporting SaaS or software product environments would be advantageous.
