Job Description

At evoke, you'll help power the technology behind some of the world's most recognised betting and gaming brands, including William Hill, 888 and Mr Green. Our platforms process up to 500 online bets per second, support more than 20 million users, and handle over 160 terabytes of data every day. This is an opportunity to work on technology at genuine scale, solving complex engineering challenges while contributing to the reliability, performance and evolution of critical platforms used across our business.

As a Platform Engineer, you'll join a collaborative and highly skilled team focused on building and supporting the shared platform services that enable engineering teams to deliver exceptional products. Whether you're working with Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD tooling or observability platforms, you'll play a key role in improving developer productivity, platform resilience and operational excellence.

What you'll be doing

  • Build, maintain and enhance platform services that support multiple engineering teams across the organisation.
  • Develop and manage cloud-native infrastructure, including Kubernetes clusters and supporting ecosystem technologies.
  • Create and optimise CI/CD pipelines to enable frequent, automated and reliable software delivery.
  • Improve platform reliability through observability, monitoring, automated testing and disaster recovery practices.
  • Support production systems, participate in incident response and contribute to continuous service improvements.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects and stakeholders to deliver scalable platform solutions that meet business needs.
  • Contribute to platform standards, documentation and engineering best practices to promote consistency and quality.
  • Share knowledge, mentor colleagues and help foster a culture of learning, collaboration and continuous improvement.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
