About Zoo 55

Zoo 55 is an ITV Studios company established to drive global audience expansion and commercial growth across the digital media ecosystem. The Team

Global Partnerships Technology works in direct alignment with Zoo 55 to build the next generation of scalable media distribution platforms. The Zoo 55 Tech Squad is a dedicated delivery team established to industrialise foundational media workflows, eliminate manual operational drag, and build the scalable infrastructure required to support expanding global media operations. The team is responsible for delivering Phase 1 technical enhancements, including a Central Work Board, Cloud NAS infrastructure, an Ingest Portal, and automated pre-match media scripting.

The Role

Working alongside the Senior Platform Engineer, you will develop the Ingest Portal, write essential automation scripts, and integrate our Central Work Board via enterprise APIs, directly contributing to the team's high-velocity delivery.

Main Responsibilities

  • Software Development: Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code to support the development of the internal Ingest Portal and Central Work Board integrations
  • Workflow Automation: Develop and maintain automated pre-match media scripting and metadata extraction tools using Python/Node.js
  • System Integration: Integrate third-party SaaS platforms and operational tools (Monday.com, Rightsline, Salesforce) using enterprise REST/GraphQL APIs
  • Infrastructure Support: Assist in the deployment and configuration of Cloud NAS infrastructure and digital asset management tools
  • Agile Collaboration: Participate in daily sprint ceremonies, working closely with the Technical BA to estimate technical effort and deliver user stories.

Skills You’ll Need (Minimum Criteria)

  • Extensive experience as a Software Engineer, Platform Engineer, or Backend Developer
  • Strong coding skills in Python or Node.js, with a solid understanding of API development and integration
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS or GCP) and containerisation (Docker)
  • Experience using Git version control and participating in code reviews within an agile team environment.

Other Things We’re Looking For (Key Criteria)

  • Interest or experience in digital media workflows, video processing, or metadata management
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment practices
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset, ready to tackle operational blockers hands-on.
