Platform Engineer (AWS IaC)

London / WFH
to £75k

Are you an infrastructure technologist with strong AWS and Terraform experience?

You could be progressing your career at a scaling technology company that specialises in renewable energy storage and trading.

About the Role

As a Platform Engineer you'll design, build and optimise the AWS infrastructure, working closely with software engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure and cost effective cloud solutions.

This is a hands-on role with plenty of ownership. You'll take the lead on infrastructure projects, shape architectural decisions, automate and improve ways of working and ensure the AWS platform continues to meet the organisation's evolving technical and business needs.

Your role will include:

  • Designing and implementing scalable AWS infrastructure using services including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, ECS and Lambda
  • Leading infrastructure projects from requirements and architecture through to delivery
  • Building and managing infrastructure as code using Terraform, alongside CI/CD pipelines and automation, seeking to improve operational efficiency through scripting, tooling and automation
  • Monitoring and optimising AWS environments for performance, reliability and cost using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana and other observability tools
  • Implementing AWS security best practice, including IAM, roles, policies and least privilege access

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
