Hawksworth are recruiting now for a Platform Engineer to join an innovative technology company developing cutting-edge cloud and connectivity solutions for the transport & motor racing industry.
This is a fantastic opportunity to help build secure, scalable cloud platforms while working alongside Software Engineers, Data Scientists and Site Reliability Engineers on next-generation products.
Location: Woking, Surrey (Hybrid – 2 days in the office)
Salary: £60k base salary plus excellent benefits including private healthcare, generous pension, flexible working and 25 days holiday.
Required Key Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar field.
- Hands-on experience with Large cloud providers AWS preferred
- Knowledge of observability and monitoring tools e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, ELK et
- AWS (or another major cloud platform)
- Kubernetes, Docker & Helm
- Terraform / Infrastructure as Code
- CI/CD & DevOps
- Excellent Programming, debugging and optimization skills in general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Go, Python, Java, C++ or Rust
- Linux & cloud infrastructure experience
- Great communication skills, Engineering mind-set, Collaborative, Good problem solving skills.

- Linux environments
- Experience with Helmfile or similar
- Experience OF IoT systems integration, protocols and services including MQTT and AWS IoT Core.
- Understand the basic concepts of AI agent automation and orchestration
You'll be involved in building secure-by-design platforms, driving automation, improving developer experience, and helping shape the future architecture of the business.
