As a Platform Engineer within Identity Governance & Administration, you'll help evolve and strengthen our identity services through engineering, automation and platform modernisation, ensuring secure and reliable access and identity management capabilities for today and through the transition to Kingfisher’s future Identity Governance platform.
This role could based out of our Kingfisher Head Office in Paddington or our B&Q Head Office just outside Southampton, with an expectation of 12 days a month in the office and travel between sites as required.
What's the job?
- Deliver engineering improvements, upgrades, migrations and technical refresh activities aligned to the Identity Governance roadmap.
- Engineer and support identity lifecycle, provisioning, access governance and automation capabilities across the identity estate.
- Develop, maintain and enhance Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM) and associated identity integrations.
- Support the modernisation of identity services and the transition to Kingfisher's future Identity Governance platform.
- Create reusable automation, APIs, connectors, workflows and integrations that improve efficiency, scalability and consistency.
- Apply robust engineering practices across development, testing, source control, documentation and release management while reducing technical debt through standardisation and automation.
- Collaborate with platform, security, directory engineering, supplier and application teams to deliver secure, resilient and supportable identity services, while helping resolve complex technical issues through root-cause analysis.

What you'll bring
- Knowledge and understanding of Identity Governance platforms and services, with the ability to deliver high-quality engineering outcomes.
- Experience analysing information, solving complex technical challenges and making informed decisions.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to share information clearly with a range of technical and non-technical audiences.
- Sound judgement and the ability to make effective technical decisions using available information.
- A collaborative approach and experience working with cross-functional teams, suppliers and stakeholders.
