Principal Platform Engineer – Privileged Access Management (PAM)

DV Cleared

Yeovil HQ (Full time onsite - Condensed Hours Available)

Inside IR35 - Up to £96 p/h

If you're DV Cleared and looking for a role that genuinely makes use of your expertise, this is an opportunity to work on some of the UK's most sensitive and technically complex defence programmes.

We're seeking a Principal Platform Engineer with strong Privileged Access Management (PAM) experience to lead the design, integration and evolution of secure enterprise platforms within highly classified environments. This is a role for engineers who enjoy solving difficult security challenges, influencing technical direction and working alongside some of the UK's leading infrastructure and cyber specialists.

You'll play a key role in delivering resilient, secure-by-design platforms that underpin mission-critical national security capabilities.

Key responsibilities

  • Leading the design and implementation of enterprise Privileged Access Management solutions.
  • Driving secure platform architecture across complex, highly classified environments.
  • Providing technical leadership and mentoring other engineers.
  • Automating infrastructure and security processes using modern tooling.
  • Working closely with infrastructure, cyber security and architecture teams to deliver resilient, scalable platforms.

Key skills

  • DV Cleared (This is a non negotiable)
  • Enterprise CyberArk administration (or another leading PAM platform)
  • VMware VCF (Aria experience is essential) or Hyper-V virtualisation
  • Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Firewalls)
  • Infrastructure automation using PowerShell, Bash, Python, Ansible or Terraform
  • Secure privileged access design and identity security
  • Secure-by-Design principles and cyber security best practice
  • Delivering infrastructure within Defence, Government or other highly secure environments
