About the Role

Signature Recruitment is delighted to be supporting an innovative, high-growth organisation in the search for a Platform Engineer. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of critical infrastructure and data systems that support cutting-edge operations and business growth.

As a Platform Engineer, you will inherit a modern technical environment and play a key role in maintaining, improving and evolving core systems. You'll work closely with technical specialists and operational teams to ensure reliability, scalability and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own, operate and improve the organisation's time-series data platform
  • Maintain and extend infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code, Docker and GitOps approaches
  • Manage edge devices and on-site collection systems
  • Build and maintain monitoring and observability tools
  • Support integration between hardware, control systems and software platforms
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and operational runbooks

What We're Looking For

  • Strong experience in Systems, Infrastructure, Platform or DevOps Engineering
  • Strong Linux administration and networking skills
  • Experience with Docker, Terraform/OpenTofu and CI/CD pipelines
  • Exposure to cloud platforms and on-premise infrastructure
  • Understanding of SQL databases, MQTT or similar messaging technologies
  • A pragmatic, curious mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
  • Comfortable working across teams and taking ownership of critical systems

Location & Working Hours

  • Bristol
  • Flexible hybrid working with an expectation of 2-3 days onsite
  • Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm
  • Parking available
