Must be a UK National with minimum 5 years residency
Strong backend and cloud engineering experience
Infrastructure-as-code (e.g. Terraform, Ansible)
Experience building scalable APIs and distributed systems
Familiarity with Bedrock AI services
Enterprise security and governance awareness
The Platform Engineer - AI Platform is responsible for building and maintaining the foundational infrastructure that enables secure, scalable and reusable AI capability across CDS. This role focuses on cloud-native architecture, reusable service patterns and platform automation rather than individual use case delivery.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement reusable AI service scaffolding (API wrappers, orchestration templates, IAM integration)
- Build and maintain cloud-native infrastructure in AWS and/or Azure
- Implement secure networking, environment isolation and deployment pipelines
- Develop reusable integration components for RAG, orchestration and agent patterns
- Enforce platform standards for logging, telemetry and cost tracking
- Support use case squads in consuming platform

5 Years UK Residency; BPSS Mandatory; Client will put resources through BPSS; Shares & Transfers maybe requested depending on client sponsorship
Remote within UK - Hybrid; travel within UK expected as required by project likely to London/Manchester/Leicester
