Job Summary
As a Multi-Cloud Platform Engineer, Terraform Modules (Database Platforms) in the Multi-Cloud Platform Engineering team, you will build and maintain reusable Terraform modules that internal customers use to deliver infrastructure-as-code at scale. You’ll focus on cloud database platform patterns (primarily AWS today, expanding to GCP), module interface design, automation, and developer experience. You’ll apply strong engineering fundamentals to improve quality through testing, validations, and observability-minded practices. You’ll work with partner teams to translate real customer needs into composable, well-documented modules with sane defaults and guardrails.
Job Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain production-grade Terraform modules for cloud database platforms
- Define clear module interfaces (inputs/outputs), versioning approaches, and backwards-compatible upgrade paths
- Build automation and tooling around infrastructure-as-code workflows (scaffolding, validations, linting, configuration generation, and integration utilities)
- Develop clean, testable Python utilities to improve module correctness, developer workflow, and operational efficiency
- Implement Git-based engineering practices, including code reviews, release management, and continuous integration and delivery for Terraform
- Integrate security, policy checks, and guardrails into module and pipeline workflows, partnering with security, risk, and compliance on exceptions where needed
- Produce high-quality module documentation, examples, and adoption guidance that reduce friction for internal customers
- Partner with application teams to translate requirements into reusable module patterns and durable abstractions
- Improve reliability and operability of database platform modules by incorporating testing strategies and operational considerations
- Contribute to roadmap planning and expansion of module coverage and patterns into GCP

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
