Platform Engineer at NewDay

As a Platform Engineer at NewDay, you'll create the tooling, automation, and cloud platforms that make software delivery seamless across Azure and AWS. Rather than building customer-facing applications, you'll be building the developer experience creating scalable platforms, simplifying deployments, and enabling hundreds of engineers to deliver software faster, safer, and more efficiently. If you're a software engineer who enjoys solving engineering challenges through automation, cloud technologies, and modern platform engineering, we'd love to hear from you.

How you'll contribute

  • Build and evolve the internal developer platform, creating tools and services that enable engineering teams to develop, test, deploy, and operate applications with ease.
  • Develop deployment tooling and automation using modern software engineering practices, helping simplify and accelerate software delivery across Azure and AWS.
  • Identify opportunities to remove friction, improve self-service capabilities, and enable developers to move faster.
  • Design and implement cloud-native solutions using containers, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD pipelines to improve platform scalability, resilience, and security.
  • Collaborate closely with Platform Engineering, SRE, and development teams to introduce new technologies, establish engineering standards, and continuously improve our platform capabilities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
