Platform Engineer - Security Cleared - Cheltenham (Hybrid) - Up to £75,000
Are you a Platform Engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and building resilient, secure infrastructure?
We're looking for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, enjoys experimenting with new technologies, and wants to work on projects where reliability, automation, and operational excellence are essential. You'll be joining a collaborative engineering team delivering secure, high-impact platforms that support critical national programmes.
The Role
As a Platform Engineer, you'll design, deploy, and maintain modern infrastructure across cloud and on-premise environments. Working alongside experienced software and infrastructure engineers, you'll help build scalable, automated platforms while continually improving how services are deployed, monitored, and operated.

This is a hands-on engineering role where you'll:
- Build and improve secure, automated platform infrastructure
- Deploy solutions into complex production environments
- Improve CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices
- Work closely with developers to streamline software delivery
- Troubleshoot production issues and optimise platform performance
- Contribute ideas, challenge existing approaches, and help shape engineering best practice

About You
You'll likely have experience in several of the following:
- Supporting and operating production platforms
- Infrastructure as Code and automation
- Containerisation and Kubernetes
- Cloud infrastructure, ideally AWS
- CI/CD tooling and deployment pipelines
- Linux administration
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Due to the nature of the work, applicants must have existing Security Clearance.
