The Opportunity

Platform engineering sits at the heart of this organisation's future growth strategy. You'll lead a dedicated platform engineering function responsible for building the cloud foundations, automation capabilities, and developer tooling that enable engineering teams to deliver securely, reliably, and at scale.

This is an opportunity to shape strategy while remaining technically involved, driving platform innovation across cloud infrastructure, reliability, security, and developer enablement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Platform Engineers.
  • Architect and scale multi-region Google Cloud infrastructure.
  • Own and evolve GKE Standard and Autopilot environments.
  • Drive Infrastructure-as-Code adoption using Terraform and Config Connector.
  • Build self-service tooling and improve developer experience across engineering teams.
  • Champion GitOps, automation, and modern platform engineering practices.
  • Work closely with Security teams to embed governance and compliance into engineering platforms.
  • Strengthen resilience across global load balancing, disaster recovery, and observability.
  • Act as a senior escalation point for complex platform incidents.
  • Contribute to operational excellence through incident management and on-call participation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
