CellPoint Digital Platform Engineering Team Lead

CellPoint Digital is looking for an exceptional Platform Engineering Team Lead to help evolve the infrastructure, developer experience, and reliability capabilities that underpin our payment orchestration platform. Working closely with the Head of TechOps and engineering leadership, you’ll lead a dedicated platform engineering pod within our wider 10-person team, helping create a scalable, secure, and highly reliable cloud platform while removing friction for our engineering teams.

The Role

You’ll lead and drive the evolution of our platform engineering capability, with responsibility for:

  • Leading, mentoring, and developing a dedicated platform engineering pod, setting high standards for technical excellence and ownership
  • Shaping and improving Developer Experience, building self-service tooling, automation, and streamlined development workflows that enable engineers to move faster
  • Architecting, managing, and scaling multi-regional Google Cloud infrastructure, including GKE Standard and Autopilot environments
  • Driving a strong Infrastructure as Code approach using Terraform and GCP Config Connector
  • Championing GitOps, automation, and platform engineering practices to improve consistency, speed, and reliability
  • Working closely with Security to embed security, governance, and compliance into our platforms and engineering pipelines
  • Strengthening platform resilience across global load balancing, disaster recovery, telemetry, and cloud-native databases including Cloud SQL and Spanner
  • Acting as a senior escalation point for complex infrastructure incidents and participating in our on-call rotation

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Who are we looking for?

You’ll already be operating as a strong platform, infrastructure, or cloud engineering leader within a technology, SaaS, fintech, or similarly complex environment. You’ll bring significant hands-on experience across GCP, Kubernetes/GKE, Infrastructure as Code, and cloud-native infrastructure, together with a strong understanding of reliability, automation, security, and operational excellence. Experience designing and operating high-availability, multi-regional GCP environments, including GKE Standard and Autopilot, will be particularly valuable. You’ll also have strong Terraform experience and an understanding of modern security approaches including Zero Trust, Cloud Armor, and global load balancing.

Crucially, you’ll be passionate about Developer Experience and understand that great platform engineering is about more than infrastructure. You’ll be someone who looks for friction, solves problems through automation, and builds platforms that enable other engineers to do their best work. You’ll be a natural technical leader who can balance hands-on engineering with mentoring, collaboration, and strategic thinking. You’ll be comfortable working across teams, taking ownership, and making pragmatic decisions in a fast-moving, globally distributed environment.

This is an opportunity to build rather than simply maintain with genuine ownership of the platform foundations that will support CellPoint Digital’s next stage of growth.

You’ll join a global, remote-first team spanning Copenhagen, Dallas, Dubai, London, Miami, Pune, Buenos Aires, Bogotá, Mexico, and Singapore, with colleagues working remotely around the world.
