Reporting To: Sr. Product Director
Description
Veriforce is building Carbon Hub — a new platform that unifies all of our carbon propositions in one compelling, connected experience — and this role is central to making it happen. Reporting to the Senior Platform Product Manager, the Platform Product Manager will sit at the heart of a cross-functional squad alongside engineers and product designers, owning discovery and delivery for a significant area of the Carbon Hub platform. You will understand the market problems that exist and which ones we’re well placed to solve before turning those insights into well-crafted solutions that are shipped with confidence and improve with iteration. You will also monitor the success of solutions via product analytics and enable our commercial teams on how to demo and position them.
This is a role for someone who brings deep customer centricity, humility, a commercial mindset, and superb communication skills to bring stakeholders along with them. You must also want to work at pace, be comfortable juggling priorities, and be keen to leverage AI tools in your day to drive productivity, including building prototypes. Ultimately you will need to hold two things in balance: maintaining a healthy, valued platform today whilst building the future of carbon at Veriforce.
Building innovative solutions; enabling safer workplaces for everyone.
We’ll create a safer working world, building software to support a global network of responsible buyers, suppliers, and partners.
We take the pain out of compliance for over 50,000 organisations globally, helping them protect their people, their operations, and the planet.
Keeping our network of hiring clients, suppliers, and contractors compliant with the standards that matter most, from health and safety and sustainability to ethical behaviour by building best in class solutions.
What that means day to day
What You'll Do
- Own product discovery for your area of the Carbon Hub. That will entail a blend of customer calls, surveys, conversations with internal stakeholders, and leveraging analysis in Pendo.
- Calibrate product discovery depth to risk and profile: apply rigorous research to high-stakes features and move fast on lower-risk increments, shipping early and iterating.
- Define and maintain a backlog for your squad that connects day-to-day delivery to Carbon Hub's broader platform vision. Collaborate with Sustainability Product colleagues to craft the roadmap for the Carbon Hub.
- Partner proactively with engineers and product designers from the earliest stages of problem definition through to defining a solution. Collaboration should be the default, not an afterthought. You will be accountable for deciding whether a solution solves the market problem/s we’re tackling.
- Champion the customer in every squad conversation — maintaining a regular rhythm of customer contact and bringing back insights with the rigour of a researcher.
- Leverage product analytics tools (particularly Pendo) to understand user behaviour, identify friction points, test hypotheses, and validate that shipped solutions are moving the success metrics you’ve defined.
- Translate strategy into delivery in Jira — creating epics that capture the value to unlock, assumptions, risks, and dependencies, partnering with engineers to break them into stories, and ensuring release notes are published on a regular cadence and coordinated with other squads.
- Drive alignment across your squad and with senior stakeholders through clear, confident communication across written, verbal, and video formats.
- Embed AI tooling — including Figma Make for rapid prototyping — into your daily practice to drive personal productivity, and actively identify opportunities to build AI-powered value into the product itself.
- Collaborate with Marketing to enable commercial teams on the messaging and positioning for new features as well as how best to demo them.
- Bring resilience and a calm head when priorities shift, timelines compress, or ambiguity spikes — keeping the squad focused and moving forward.
- Embed the company's goals, vision, values, and behaviours into the way the carbon propositions are built and brought to market.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What you’ll need to be successful
- At least 7 years of professional experience in software and technology roles, with a minimum of 5 years in product management roles working directly with engineering teams to build software — at least 2 of those 5 years in a B2B SaaS environment.
- Proven experience conducting structured product discovery — including customer discovery calls and surveys — and translating findings into product decisions.
- Demonstrable track record of shipping software iteratively — comfortable releasing early and refining based on evidence — using hands-on experience with product analytics platforms to inform prioritisation and measure outcomes.
- Hands-on experience prototyping with AI tools to explore and validate ideas quickly.
- Experience leveraging AI to deliver customer-facing solutions and to drive meaningful productivity gains in day-to-day working practice.
- A strong understanding of platform architecture concepts — including third-party API integrations, service composition, and building on top of a suite of internal services — with the technical fluency to engage confidently in architectural discussions, weigh the pros and cons of different approaches without needing to own the technical solution, and read and interpret API documentation to inform solution scope and feasibility.
- A passion for sustainability, with the curiosity and commitment to develop deep domain knowledge over time.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt register and format for technical, design, commercial, and executive audiences — including video and large-group settings.
- Highly collaborative working style with a track record of involving engineering and design early and building strong cross-functional relationships.
- A keen eye for detail and a structured, organised approach to managing multiple workstreams in a fast-moving environment.
