Location: Edinburgh (We believe in the power of in-person collaboration, and our hybrid model requires colleagues to be in the office a minimum of 40% of their time)
Salary: A competitive salary from £43,120 - £64,680 depending on the experience you can bring

We’re currently looking for a Platform Rec & Control Team Manager to join our Income & Assets Team within Investment Administration, reporting to the Reconciliation and Controls Department Manager.
This is a key leadership role within the Reconciliations & Controls function, responsible for delivering an excellent customer and stakeholder experience while ensuring the compliant and effective delivery of the platform area's daily banking activities, regular payment schedules, asset reconciliations, income processing, and regulatory reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the team’s adherence to income processing and asset reconciliation deadlines
- Perform oversight and compliance activity relating to the work of the team covered by the Client Money Regulations (CASS Rules)
- Assist and complete work relating to Internal Audits and any Compliance Monitoring queries, while also working with external Audit partners to ensure delivery of Aegon’s statutory and CASS audits.
- Oversee the preparation of some platform tax reporting data and ensure successful delivery to HMRC.
- Ensure all controls are operating effectively and evidence retained to mitigate exposures and that all processes adhere to SOX principles. Highlight areas of weakness and act where appropriate.
- Contribute to change initiatives in Investment Admin by suggesting areas of improvement. Take ownership of specific change deliverables to drive this forward in the team with a focus on improving processes and controls.
- Ensure the team contribution to the delivery of the department business plan and associated initiatives is met.
- Working as and with technical subject matter expert colleagues to achieve customer initiatives, while maintaining and driving forward regulatory change

Requirements
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- Strong people management skills, with a track record of managing staff/teams
- Strong oral & written communication, which is clear, tailored and suited to audience.
- Team player who demonstrates good collaboration across teams and different functions.
- Ability to demonstrate organization and planning, requiring little direct supervision, and demonstrate an ability to prioritise tasks both independently and for the wider team.
- Can demonstrate a track record of being adaptable and responsible to changing priorities.
Knowledge
- Knowledge of Client Money Assets Sourcebook (CASS) rules and regulations.
- Knowledge of the banking industry and payment practices.
- Knowledge of Investment Platforms and associated marketplace products.
- Achieved, working toward, or willing to work toward Finance Qualification – CISI IOC exams or equivalent(s).
- Basic PAYE and tax reporting knowledge desirable, but not essential.
