Platform Specialist
📍 Harrow, London (Hybrid)
We're looking for a Platform Specialist to join a growing technology team and take ownership of a modern, cloud-first Microsoft environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Microsoft infrastructure professional to play a key role in maintaining, securing and improving critical platforms that support thousands of users.
What You'll Be Doing
- Managing and supporting Microsoft 365 and Hybrid Exchange environments
- Administering Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy
- Managing Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA, PIM and identity services
- Monitoring and investigating security alerts using Microsoft Defender and Sentinel
- Supporting email protection, eDiscovery, retention policies and VPN services
- Developing PowerShell automation to streamline operational processes
- Driving platform improvements, security enhancements and service reliability

What We're Looking For
- Strong experience with Microsoft 365 administration
- Hybrid Exchange and Exchange Online expertise
- Active Directory administration and troubleshooting
- Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Defender and/or Sentinel
- PowerShell scripting and automation skills
- Strong understanding of identity, access management and security best practice

Desirable Experience
- Azure cloud technologies
- Public sector, local government, education, NHS or housing sector experience
- Microsoft certifications
This role would suit a Platform Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, Microsoft 365 Engineer, Systems Engineer or Infrastructure Specialist looking to work in a cloud-first, Azure-native environment with a strong focus on security, automation and continuous improvement.
