About your team
The Platforms Alignment team acts as the strategic orchestrator for FIL Platforms, connecting enterprise strategy, platform strategy, roadmaps, outcomes, governance and organisational evolution. The team helps ensure clear priorities, aligned decision-making and transparent execution across Platforms and the wider enterprise.
About your role
As Platforms Evolution Director, you will act as custodian of the long-term evolution of FIL Platforms. You will define and maintain the target operating model, capabilities, design principles and location strategy required to deliver Platforms 2030 outcomes. Working across business, technology and functional teams, you will ensure organisational evolution is coherent, evidence based and aligned to enterprise objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the Platforms target operating model and capabilities.
- Define operating model design principles and governance frameworks.
- Lead location strategy development.
- Coordinate delivery of the Platforms 2030 evolution roadmap.
- Provide design challenge and design authority.
- Partner with Finance, People and senior leaders on future-state planning.
- Assess strategic options and scenario plans.
- Define and track strategic evolution outcomes and benefits.
- Support major transformation initiatives with operating model expertise.
- Maintain a coherent long-term view of Platforms organisational evolution.

Experience and Qualifications
- Significant experience leading enterprise or divisional operating model design and organisational evolution in a complex, regulated, matrix organisation, from initial diagnosis and design through to implementation.
- Demonstrable track record of personally defining and implementing target operating models, including capabilities, accountabilities, decision rights, governance, organisational structures and location implications.
- Experience translating future-state designs into sequenced roadmaps, implementation choices and measurable business outcomes.
- Experience applying operating model disciplines across business, technology and functional boundaries, with the ability to integrate multiple perspectives into a coherent enterprise design.
- Practical experience of location, sourcing or capability-footprint strategy is highly desirable.
- Experience operating as a design authority and trusted adviser to executive leadership, including constructively challenging proposals and resolving competing priorities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including strategic option assessment, scenario analysis and evidence-based decision support.
- Excellent executive communication, facilitation and presentation skills.
- Financial services or comparable regulated-industry experience is highly desirable.
