SCHOOL VACANCY

St Paul’s C of E Primary School is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic playworker to be based in our After School Club.

We have a position available for After School Club.

Situated close to the centre of the historic City of York, St Paul’s C of E Primary offers an engaging and creative curriculum of the highest quality. We are looking for an excellent Playworker, who can make a real difference to the lives of the children you are working with by supporting the school with the provision of extended care.

The post holder will do this by supervising children and organising activities, setting up fun and engaging activities and working closely with the staff team and parents in our school community.

The Successful Applicants Will

  • Have relevant experience of working with children in the primary years
  • Effective communication skills
  • A caring attitude
  • Thorough knowledge of the school’s policies, procedures and protocols
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and to apply given instructions

The post and hours are as follows for Monday – Friday, term time only.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We require the successful applicant to undertake an enhanced Criminal Record check via the Disclosure and Barring Service.

This post is subject to the Childcare (Disqualification) Regulations 2009 and as such shortlisted candidates will be asked to complete a Disqualification Declaration. Any information supplied will be discussed at interview.
