Your New Company

I'm looking for a Business Transformation Consultant (PLM Architect) for a hybrid working role. (location is yet to be confirmed). However, this will more than likely be working 2-3 days on-site. The rate is £595 per day inside IR35.

My clients are looking for an experienced Business Transformation Consultant - IoT & PLM (PD Architect) to join a strategic transformation initiative supporting BAE Systems.

This role sits at the intersection of Product Development (PD) Architecture, Product Life cycle Management (PLM), Internet of Things (IoT), and enterprise transformation. The successful candidate will play a key role in an Integration Discovery Programme, helping to define how engineering, manufacturing, and operational technology ecosystems can be connected to support future digital engineering capabilities.

Working closely with business stakeholders, architects, and technology specialists, you will assess the current landscape, identify integration opportunities, and help shape the future-state architecture required to support business transformation objectives across complex engineering environments.

This is a high-profile consulting role requiring a combination of strategic thinking, architectural expertise, stakeholder engagement, and industry knowledge within highly regulated engineering organisations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead discovery activities to understand current business processes, systems, and integration challenges.
  • Define target-state architecture and transformation roadmaps supporting PLM and IoT initiatives.
  • Assess engineering, manufacturing, and operational technology landscapes and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Facilitate workshops with business stakeholders, subject-matter experts, and technical teams.
  • Develop architecture artefacts, capability maps, business process models, and transformation recommendations.
  • Analyse how product life cycle, engineering data, and operational information can be integrated to improve business outcomes.
  • Support the development of digital engineering strategies and enterprise transformation plans.
  • Produce executive-level presentations, strategic recommendations, and architecture documentation.
  • Collaborate across multiple client, supplier, and IBM teams to align programme objectives.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities relating to enterprise integration and business transformation initiatives.
  • Support governance activities and provide architectural guidance throughout the discovery phase.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
