XD Innovation is supporting a major UK defence programme in the search for an experienced PLM Architect.
You will join a combined client and multi-vendor delivery team, owning the design of PLM, CAD and ERP solutions from requirements through to delivered product. The role sits at the centre of the programme's technical delivery: shaping high and low level designs, guiding development teams across onshore, nearshore and offshore locations, and being the credible technical voice to senior stakeholders and architectural governance.
Key responsibilities
- Translate complex functional and non-functional business requirements into high and low level solution designs, covering both custom development and COTS configuration
- Design solutions across CAD, PLM, ERP and their integrations, with Siemens Teamcenter at the core
- Ensure designs address non-functional requirements including security, performance and resilience
- Act as the technical point of contact for analysts, developers, testers and support teams throughout delivery
- Work with mixed-vendor development teams to deliver high quality built product
- Present and justify designs to client senior leadership, business stakeholders and architecture governance boards, explaining how and why they meet business needs and architectural standards
- Deliver within a gated IT lifecycle, across both waterfall and Agile contexts
- Lead technical problem solving and troubleshooting across the solution landscape

Experience required

- Architecture experience within a manufacturing and/or PLM environment
- Delivery of large scale IT programmes against aggressive timescales
- Working to structured methods and standards such as TOGAF
- Delivery within gated lifecycle processes, in both waterfall and Agile settings
- Operating in combined client and multi-vendor delivery environments
Technical skills
- Siemens Teamcenter PLM (essential)
- Siemens NX and Siemens FORAN
- Mendix
- eQ Technologie integration
- Oracle Fusion
- CAD, PLM and ERP integration architecture
- Java, JavaScript, C/C# and.NET
Nice to have
- Strong appreciation of infrastructure and networking architecture
