Role: PLM Windchill Developer
Location: Stevenage, UK
Type: Permanent/ Full-Time


Job Description:

  • Configure, customize, and support Windchill PDMLink and associated modules, including Change Management, Document Management, and Bill of Materials (BOM) Management.
  • Design, develop, and maintain Windchill workflows, lifecycle templates, business rules, and customizations.
  • Develop and support integrations between Windchill and ERP systems or other enterprise applications.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues relating to Windchill performance, system access, functionality, and data integrity.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, technical teams, and end users to gather requirements and deliver effective PLM solutions.
  • Support the ongoing maintenance, enhancement, and optimization of the Windchill environment.
  • Contribute to technical documentation, development standards, and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong hands-on experience in Windchill development, customization, configuration, and support.
  • Good understanding of Windchill architecture, core modules, and PLM processes.
  • Proficiency in Java, JSP, XML, and Windchill APIs and development frameworks.
  • Experience with Windchill Business Rules Framework (BRF) and Info*Engine.
  • Experience developing workflows, lifecycle templates, and business process customizations within Windchill.
  • Understanding of enterprise system integrations, including integration with ERP or related business applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Experience working with Windchill 13.x.
  • Exposure to Agile and Scrum delivery methodologies.
  • Experience with DevOps practices, source control, automated deployments, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience working within complex enterprise or engineering environments.
  • Knowledge of PLM data structures, product configuration, BOM management, and change control processes.
