Developer PL/SQL and Java – Liverpool / Hybrid working
We are proud to be partnering with one of the most prestigious organisations in the region as they add to one of their core Technology Teams with a developer skilled in PL/SQL and Java.
Our client is one of the largest local employers and is globally renowned. This team are integral to the business as they process and map vital data that integrates with other essential platforms.
About the Role
You will play a key role in leading on the development, maintenance and support of one of their key platforms. Working with an oracle database, the administrative front-end is delivered through Java and PL/SQL used for the processing of the data so it is essential that you are skilled in all of these. You will be required to offer support to end users, and so exceptional communication skills are also vital.

Experience in working with supporting Higher Education platforms such as Banner would be highly advantageous.
This is offered as a 1-year fixed term contract.
In addition to the salary offered, our client offers some exceptional benefits which include an unrivalled pension of 21.5% in addition to 30 days base leave, PLUS additional discretionary days and bank holidays. They also have a genuine commitment to continual professional development. If you have the core PL/SQL and Java development experience support will be offered to upskill.

Required Skills
- Extensive expertise in the development of Oracle PL/SQL in a complex relational database.
- Extensive expertise of development on Oracle 12 / 19 databases.
- Extensive expertise of HTML, XML/JSON, CSS, JavaScript.
- Experience of programming in Java or C#.
Please note that there is a requirement to be onsite 2 days a week and so you must live within easy commute of central Liverpool to accommodate this.
