Plumber (Domestic Housing Association)

Salary: £25 – 30 Phr

Job Type: Full-time, (2 Years)

Hours: 40 hours per week

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Plumber to join our team working across a portfolio of domestic housing association properties. This is a two-year fixed-term contract providing planned maintenance, repairs, and installation work within occupied residential homes.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a high-quality service to tenants, ensuring all plumbing work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out plumbing repairs and maintenance in occupied and void domestic properties.
  • Install, repair, and replace pipework, taps, toilets, baths, showers, sinks, and associated fittings.
  • Diagnose faults and complete remedial works in a timely manner.
  • Undertake bathroom and kitchen plumbing installations as required.
  • Ensure all work complies with current health and safety regulations and company procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed using job sheets or handheld devices.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with tenants and colleagues.
  • Participate in an on-call rota if required.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Plumbing (or equivalent recognised qualification).
  • Proven experience working as a plumber in domestic residential properties.
  • Experience working within social housing or housing association environments is desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively.
  • Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
