Role: Plumber
Location: South Croydon and surrounding areas
Salary: £38,000 - £38,325 per annum + Company Van & Fuel Card
Role Summary
We are currently seeking an experienced Plumber to join a well-established maintenance team, carrying out reactive and planned plumbing repairs within occupied social housing properties across South Croydon and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Plumber who enjoys a varied workload and takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship. Working across a portfolio of domestic properties, you'll play an important role in ensuring residents' homes are safe, well-maintained and plumbing issues are resolved efficiently.
The role is field-based, covering South Croydon and nearby areas, so you'll need to be comfortable travelling between properties throughout the working day.
The Role
As a Plumber, you'll be responsible for carrying out a wide range of plumbing repairs and maintenance works within occupied and void social housing properties. You'll work independently whilst being part of a supportive and established maintenance team.

- Diagnosing and repairing plumbing faults and leaks
- Repairing and replacing taps, valves, toilets, sinks and sanitaryware
- Carrying out repairs to baths, showers and associated fittings
- Unblocking sinks, toilets and waste pipes
- Repairing and replacing pipework where required
- Carrying out repairs to hot and cold-water systems
- Replacing faulty plumbing components and fittings
- Completing general maintenance and making-good works
- Carrying out minor multi-trade tasks where required
- Diagnosing faults and completing repairs efficiently and safely
- Maintaining excellent customer service when working in residents' homes
- Using a PDA or job management system to receive and update works completed
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is reliable, customer-focused and takes pride in the quality of their work.
You will have:
- Previous experience working as a Plumber within social housing, maintenance or repairs environments
- Strong knowledge of domestic plumbing systems
- Experience carrying out reactive repairs within occupied properties
- The ability to work independently and manage your own workload effectively
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- A professional and customer-focused approach when dealing with residents
- Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise workloads

Essential Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Proven experience working as a Plumber or Plumbing Multi-Trader
- Ability to travel across South Croydon and surrounding areas
- Comfortable using handheld devices or PDAs
- Eligible to work in the UK (proof required)
- DBS check (or willingness to undertake one if required)
