Job Role: Plumber Multi Trader

Location: Covering Bristol, Cardiff & Oxford - Candidate Based in Swindon

Salary: £38,000 - £40,000 + Company Van & Fuel Card

Job Type: Permanent

We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Plumber Multi to join a reactive maintenance team, covering properties across Bristol, Cardiff, Oxford and surrounding areas.

The successful candidate will be based in Swindon and should have strong domestic plumbing experience, with the ability to carry out a range of reactive repairs within occupied properties. Candidates should be confident working independently, diagnosing faults and completing plumbing repairs to a good standard.

An NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing would be highly desirable, although relevant experience will also be considered. Additional multi-trade skills such as basic carpentry, patch plastering, tiling, painting and general property maintenance would be desirable.

The role will involve attending properties to complete reactive repairs, identifying faults and carrying out the necessary works efficiently and professionally. As the role involves working within occupied properties, a polite and respectful approach with residents is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out domestic plumbing repairs within occupied properties.
  • Diagnose and repair leaks, pipework, taps, toilets, sinks, baths, showers, radiators and other plumbing fixtures.
  • Complete plumbing repairs, installations and maintenance works.
  • Attend reactive repair jobs and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Carry out fault finding and identify the cause of plumbing problems.
  • Complete minor multi-trade repairs where required, including basic carpentry, patch plastering, tiling and painting.
  • Work professionally within occupied properties and maintain a good standard of customer service.
  • Follow health and safety requirements and company procedures.
  • Keep accurate records of completed works, materials used and job updates.
  • Use a PDA system to record and update job information.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience as a Plumber, ideally within social housing, property maintenance or reactive repairs.
  • Good domestic plumbing skills and the ability to complete repairs independently.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing highly desirable.
  • Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Previous multi-trade experience would be advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a busy workload.
  • Professional and reliable approach when working in occupied properties.
  • Comfortable using a PDA or basic IT systems.
  • Full UK driving licence required.
  • Must be based in or around Swindon and able to cover Bristol, Cardiff, Oxford and surrounding areas.
