Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time – 40 hours per week

Salary: £41,200 per annum

Location: North London

Working Arrangement: Mobile role, working across residents' homes and other locations, with occasional office attendance

Closing Date: 31 August 2026 at 11pm

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Plumber Multi Trade to join a busy repairs and maintenance team on a permanent basis.

This is a mobile role covering North London, with the successful candidate working across areas including Hackney, Islington, Kensington & Chelsea, Barnet and Enfield. Candidates will have a primary working area but may be required to travel across the wider region to support service delivery.

A full UK manual driving licence is essential. Candidates should also have their own hand tools, while larger or specialist equipment will be provided where required.

Key Responsibilities

As a Plumber Multi Trade, you will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of plumbing repairs, maintenance, and replacement works within residential properties.

Your duties will include:

  • Carrying out plumbing repairs and replacements.
  • Repairing and replacing sinks, water tanks, bathrooms, and associated plumbing systems.
  • Diagnosing faults and completing repairs efficiently.
  • Carrying out basic carpentry, tiling, painting and decorating works.
  • Undertaking basic patch plastering and associated repair work.
  • Working across a varied housing stock and responding to different maintenance requirements.
  • Completing work to a high standard and aiming for a right-first-time service.
  • Minimising follow-on repairs and ensuring jobs are completed effectively.
  • Maintaining excellent communication with residents and colleagues.
  • Following all relevant health and safety procedures.
  • Providing a professional and customer-focused service at all times.

About You

We are looking for someone with strong practical trade skills and experience working within a maintenance, housing, construction, or similar environment.

You should have:

  • Proven experience as a plumber or multi-trade operative.
  • Strong practical plumbing knowledge and experience.
  • Experience working within a housing maintenance, property maintenance, construction, or site environment.
  • Relevant qualifications such as an NVQ or equivalent trade experience.
  • A broad range of multi-trade skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • A commitment to delivering a right-first-time service.
  • A strong understanding of health and safety requirements.
  • The ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
  • A full UK manual driving licence.
  • Your own basic hand tools.

Working Hours

Standard working hours are generally:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

There may also be opportunities to increase earnings through call-outs and out-of-hours work.
