Finger Lakes Comfort Inc. is an industry leading HVAC and plumbing contractor specializing in design build, clean energy, high efficient heating and cooling technologies, and plumbing that has 15 years of experience. We are a team of dedicated, forward-thinking professionals who all share a common purpose of providing great working atmosphere while delivering quality and exceptional service. Finger Lakes Comfort is privately owned and not managed by investors or private equities. We are currently building our brand new corporate headquarters in Phelps NY, giving our team new opportunities for growth and training.
We are continuing to grow, and we are currently seeking an experienced Plumber to join our team. This position is for full-time employment with competitive pay, commissions, benefits, and advancement opportunities. This position will repair and maintenance of residential and light commercial water heaters, piping, and drainage systems.

- Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in commercial and residential structures
- Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, and other construction professionals
- Follow building plans and blueprints
- Respond to, diagnose, and resolve plumbing emergencies
- Perform routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems
- Light construction, carpentry, painting, plastering, flooring, ceiling and electrical work as required
- Prepare bids, budgets, and cost estimates
- Keep accurate records of time spent working, description of work performed and materials used
- Planned excavation work with experience interacting with 811 Dig
Qualifications And Skills
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools used in the plumbing trade
- Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and safety practices
- Ability to read and follow blueprints and rough drawings
- Familiarity with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, and copper
- Effective oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to complete projects unsupervised and unassisted
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficiency in basic mathematics and conversion of measurements
- Knowledge of well pump systems
- Knowledge of sewer pump systems

Education And Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Vocational Training a plus
- Minimum 5 years experience as a plumber with references
- Valid and clean driver's license
- Must have own tools
