About The Role

Based in Dundee, this full-time, permanent Plumber / Heating Engineer role centres on commercial sites, plant rooms and large-scale heating systems. Working with multi-boiler setups, distribution systems and commercial heating infrastructure, the postholder carries out fault finding, maintenance, system checks and reactive work across offices, industrial units and similar premises. Some out-of-town working is required for commercial projects, and occasional domestic jobs may arise, though the core workload remains commercial. Key skills include commercial plumbing, pipework installation and upgrades, component replacement and diagnosing faults in complex heating plant. A competitive rate applies, dependent on experience.

The company is seeking an experienced Plumber / Heating Engineer to join their team, working primarily across commercial sites, plant rooms, and large scale heating systems. The role includes out of town working as required for commercial projects.

About The Role

This position is focused on commercial environments, including plant rooms, multi boiler setups, distribution systems, and commercial heating infrastructure. You’ll carry out fault finding, maintenance, system checks, and reactive work across offices, industrial units, and other commercial premises. Domestic work may be required occasionally, but the core workload is commercial.

  • Plant room operations — inspections, maintenance, component replacement
  • Commercial heating systems — diagnostics, system checks, large scale system support
  • Reactive maintenance across commercial sites
  • Out of town working for commercial projects when required
  • Ensure compliance with commercial safety standards and site protocols

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing or equivalent
  • Gas Safe registration (preferred)
  • Strong experience in commercial environments and plant rooms
  • Confident diagnosing and repairing large scale systems
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Ability to work independently on commercial sites, including out of town work
