Job Description
A qualified Plumber is responsible for delivering works and ensuring that these works are completed to a satisfactory quality in line with timeframes set by the Contracts manager in line with BELFOR UK operational procedures and techniques for both Residential and SME properties.
- Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in commercial and residential structures.
- Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, and other construction professionals.
- Follow building plans and blueprints.
- Respond to, diagnose, and resolve plumbing emergencies.
- Perform routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems.
- Evidence projects with before and after photographs.
- Review scopes and feedback to project manager of any changes.
- Deliver works within the timeframe set by the Contracts manager.
- Keep sites clean and tidy at all times.
- Liaise with the Service Centre and customer to ensure that they are regularly informed of the status of all live ongoing projects.
- Ensure that Quality, Management, and Health & Safety procedures are both understood and fully implemented. Advising insured’s, where applicable, of the operation and safety of all plant and equipment including the provision of safety data sheets when necessary.
- Provide flexible resourcing to assist any other trade or restoration technician as and when required.
- Travel anywhere in the UK to deliver projects.
- Attend tool box talks when requested.
- Attend training courses when provided by BELFOR UK or any other external provider.
- Keep all necessary accreditations within date.
- Understand and implement the use of new procedures and materials.
- Ensure responsibilities specific to your role as detailed within BKH L006 Health Safety and Environment Policy are complied with.
- Any other reasonable management request.

Requirements for Role
- Install, service, maintain, and repair gas appliances, boilers, heating systems, and gas pipework.
- Carry out gas safety checks, inspections, testing, and fault finding.
- Diagnose and repair gas leaks and system faults.
- Install and replace gas pipes, fittings, valves, and associated equipment.
- Complete installation and maintenance work in accordance with manufacturer specifications and current regulations.
- Carry out pressure testing and ensure systems are operating safely and efficiently.
- Provide customers/clients with clear information regarding work completed and any recommendations.
- Complete job sheets, service records, certificates, and other required documentation accurately.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Follow company health and safety procedures and relevant gas safety legislation.
- Liaise professionally with customers, contractors, and other trades.
- Relevant gas fitting/plumbing qualifications and experience.
- Current gas industry registration/certification appropriate to the work being undertaken.
- Proven experience installing, servicing, and repairing gas appliances and heating systems.
- Excellent knowledge of gas safety regulations and safe working practices.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and customer-service skills.
- Full UK driving licence may be required.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional approach to work.
