About the Company

Metro Plumb is a national plumbing business with more than 40 local depots across the UK. Our teams of professional plumbers can deal with a variety of plumbing issues, from emergency repairs and stopping leaks to fixing broken boilers and replacing dripping taps.

Here at Metro Plumb, we work alongside our sister companies to provide a complete “water in, waste out” service for our customers. We can provide you with access to specialist expertise and one point of contact for all drainage, plumbing, pump, and FOG works, as well as a unique refrigeration seal replacement offering.

Metro Plumb is part of Metro Rod, which has been leading the way in drainage solutions for over 40 years. Both companies are part of the bigger franchise group - Franchise Brands.

By providing a wide range of services, Metro Plumb are able to support customers, both domestic and commercial. We manage national contracts such as facilities management, insurance companies, private and funded care facilities, and social housing.

For the right person, there may also be opportunities for future investment and greater involvement in the long-term leadership and growth of the business.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
