Plumbing & Heating Service Engineer (Commercial / Residential)

£45,000 - £50,000 + Company Vehicle + Fuel Card + Profit Share + Overtime + Training + Company Technology Package + 23 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + Company Benefits

Thame / Field Based

Are you an experienced Plumbing & Heating Engineer with strong fault-finding and maintenance experience, looking for a role where you can take ownership of service issues from initial diagnosis through to successful resolution?

Do you enjoy working directly with customers, diagnosing mechanical problems and finding practical solutions, while having the autonomy to manage your own workload and diary?

This established mechanical services business delivers plumbing, heating and mechanical installations across a range of projects.

Due to continued growth, they are looking for a customer-focused Service & Maintenance Engineer to take ownership of defects, warranty issues and service callouts arising from completed installations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer who enjoys variety, problem-solving and working independently, with manufacturer training available to further develop your technical knowledge.

The Role

  • Take ownership of plumbing, heating and mechanical defects from initial report through to resolution
  • Monitor incoming service requests and assess the urgency and priority of each issue
  • Arrange and attend planned maintenance visits and reactive callouts
  • Liaise directly with customers, contractors and end users to arrange access and attendance
  • Diagnose faults across plumbing, heating and associated mechanical systems
  • Carry out repairs, replacements and remedial works safely and efficiently
  • Aim to achieve first-visit resolution wherever practical

The Person

  • Previous experience in plumbing and heating service, maintenance or fault diagnosis
  • Full UK Driving Licence
