Location: DA17 6JG
Pay:
- £22 per hour PAYE
- £27 per hour Self-Employed

We are currently recruiting for an experienced and enthusiastic Plumbing Lecturer to join a further education college on a part-time, temporary basis starting in late August. This role is expected to continue until a permanent appointment is made, with the potential for the position to become permanent for the right candidate. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with teaching and/or industry experience to inspire the next generation of plumbing professionals. You will teach students across Level 1 to Level 3 programmes and work closely with the Curriculum Manager to support the continued growth and development of the department.
The Role
As a Plumbing Lecturer, you will deliver engaging and practical lessons to learners of varying abilities, helping them develop the knowledge and practical skills required for a successful career in the plumbing industry. You will also play an important role in maintaining accurate student records and contributing to the ongoing success of the department.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality Plumbing teaching to learners from Level 1 to Level 3.
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging classroom and practical workshop sessions.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Support learners to achieve their academic and practical goals.
- Maintain accurate student records and complete all required administrative tasks.
- Work closely with the Curriculum Manager to support the expansion and development of the department.
- Promote a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment.
- Ensure teaching meets awarding body and college quality standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience teaching Plumbing and/or relevant industry experience.
- Qualified Further Education teacher, or willing to work towards a teaching qualification.
- Minimum Level 2 literacy and numeracy (GCSE or equivalent).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and motivate class groups.
- Strong administration skills and attention to detail to maintain accurate student records.
- Passion for developing learners and supporting student achievement.
- Right to work in the UK.
