PMLD Teacher

We are looking for an experienced and compassionate PMLD Teacher to join a welcoming and specialist SEND school in Barnet.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated SEND Teacher with experience supporting pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). The successful candidate will join a supportive specialist team committed to providing personalised learning and helping pupils with complex needs make meaningful progress.
As a PMLD Teacher, you will deliver engaging and personalised lessons tailored to the individual needs of pupils with PMLD. You will support pupils with personal care, implement physiotherapy programmes, assist during hydrotherapy and pool sessions, and work closely with therapists, support staff, and families as part of a multidisciplinary team.

PMLD Teacher Requirements:
- Has previous experience teaching children with PMLD
- Holds appropriate teaching qualifications and training for the role
- Has valid Moving and Handling training
- Has experience using a hoist and supporting pupils with physical needs
- Is confident providing personal care to pupils
- Is patient, caring, proactive, and committed to supporting pupils with complex needs
- Can deliver personalised and engaging lessons adapted to individual learning needs
- Has strong communication, organisational, and teamwork skills
- Can work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside therapists, support staff, and families
- Is passionate about supporting pupils with SEND and helping them reach their full potential
