About the Role
Make every drop of your potential count!
We're looking for two PMO Analysts to join Anglian Water's Performance team, supporting the planning, governance and delivery controls that help programmes and portfolios achieve their objectives. One position will be offered as a permanent role, the other as an initial 12-month fixed-term contract.
A strong Project Management Office gives leaders and delivery teams the information, structure and challenge they need to make confident decisions. In this role, you'll maintain plans, financial information, risks, actions, issues, changes and dependencies while turning complex delivery data into clear reports and dashboards for management teams and programme boards.
Depending on which PMO you will be working in, responsibilities could include taking ownership of selected PMO services and working closely with Project and Programme Managers, senior leaders and delivery teams. This is an opportunity to build broad experience across portfolio planning, governance, project controls and assurance while helping embed consistent programme, project and portfolio management practices across the business. While you may have one specific PMO in focus affecting your day-to-day role, there will be opportunity for multiskilling across different areas.
Responsibilities
- Maintain portfolio and programme plans, financial information, benefits tracking, dependencies and delivery records
- Manage risks, actions, issues and change registers, ensuring information remains current, clear and suitable for governance
- PMO Administration including the coordination of governance meetings by preparing papers, agendas, minutes, decisions and action tracking
- Collate, analyse and evaluate delivery data to produce clear reports and management dashboards
- Bring together project reports into programme and portfolio-level information for leadership and board review
- Quality assure plans, workbooks, registers and highlight reports against agreed standards and templates
- Support programme and project health checks, identifying gaps and helping teams improve the quality of delivery controls
- Provide first-line guidance, coaching and support on programme, project and portfolio processes, documents and tools
- Support business capability programme
- Maintain secure SharePoint sites, document libraries and central repositories, ensuring information is organised and accessible
- Support strategic prioritisation activity through planning, coordination and facilitation
- Analyse resource and delivery plans to identify constraints and opportunities to improve delivery
- Tactical resource management, ensuring resource picture is accurate and up to date
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of PMO tools, templates, reporting and ways of working
- Support the specification and testing of Power BI dashboards where required

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
