PMO Analyst
Duration: 6 Months

Request Summary:
This request seeks approval to secure a PMO Analyst resource to support the Cyber Security PMO function – Project Amur. The role will provide structured programme and portfolio support across governance, reporting, financial tracking, planning, RAID management, dependency management and delivery assurance. The additional resource is required to strengthen PMO capacity, improve consistency of controls and ensure timely, accurate information is available to support portfolio decision-making.
The PMO Analyst will support the delivery of consistent, accurate and timely programme management office services across assigned cyber security programmes. The role will help maintain programme controls, support reporting cycles, track actions and dependencies, assist with financial and resource tracking, and ensure programme artefacts are maintained in line with governance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery and maintenance of programme controls, including plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, assumptions, decisions and actions.
- Coordinate inputs for weekly, monthly and governance board reporting, ensuring information is accurate, complete and submitted to agreed timelines.
- Maintain programme artefacts and supporting documentation in line with agreed PMO standards, methods and tools.
- Support with project financial information, including budget updates, forecast movements, actuals, purchase order status, receipting and cross-charge information where applicable.
- Support Delivery Leads and Programme Managers with planning, and delivery reporting.
- Monitor progress against agreed milestones and highlight exceptions, delays or data quality issues for escalation.
- Assist with governance preparation, including meeting packs, action logs, decision records and follow-up activity.
- Support continuous improvement of PMO processes, templates, reporting routines and ways of working.

Skills and Experience Required
- Experience working in a Project, Programme or Portfolio Management Office environment.
- Good understanding of project delivery lifecycles, governance frameworks
- Strong knowledge of core PMO processes, including status reporting, planning, RAID management, dependency tracking, change control and financial tracking.
- Confident user of Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint; experience with Microsoft Project or similar planning tools would be beneficial.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work to tight deadlines and maintain accuracy in a high-pressure environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to follow up actions and engage effectively with delivery teams and stakeholders.
- Highly organised, proactive and able to work independently while escalating issues appropriately.
