Junior Data / Power BI Analyst
Location: Southern House, Lewes Road, Falmer BN1 9PY
Hours: 40 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

About the Role
This is an exciting hybrid early-career role that brings together data analysis, Power BI dashboarding, SharePoint administration, and PMO coordination. You'll be using data to help project teams understand how the Southern Water AMP8 Framework is performing, building dashboards, organising information, and turning project data into clear, useful insights. This is a great opportunity if you enjoy working with data and Power BI, and want to learn how major infrastructure projects are planned and delivered.
Responsibilities
As a Junior Data / Power BI Analyst, you'll be working within the Digital PMO, Reporting & Insight Team, supporting them in delivering trusted datasets, dashboards, and reports that make performance easier to understand. Your day-to-day will include:

- Developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports that provide clear visibility of framework performance
- Using Excel, Power Query, and DAX to transform project information into reliable reporting outputs
- Analysing trends and data gaps, translating them into simple, decision-ready insights
- Administering SharePoint-based lists, libraries, and registers used by the PMO
- Coordinating PMO data returns and supporting governance forums, meeting packs, and reporting calendars
What We're Looking For
This role of Junior Data / Power BI Analyst is great for you if:
- You have strong analytical ability, curiosity, and attention to detail
- You have experience in Power BI, Power Query, DAX, Excel, dashboards, or business intelligence
- You're comfortable using SharePoint or willing to develop administration skills for structured information management
- You can translate data into insight and produce outputs that support decision-making
- You're confident communicating with stakeholders and have an interest in learning PMO and project governance
