Tech Pipeline is currently working with a UK infrastructure specialist with operations to clean up project management workflows that have grown too complex. This PMO Assistant role exists to handle the operational drag that prevents projects from moving forward. You will help our team identify where project tasks get stuck, whether that is a stalled approval in a legacy system or a routing rule that no longer reflects how the client operates. This is a fully remote position that focuses on the practical side of project administration rather than high-level theory.

About Tech Pipeline

We target the friction that slows companies down.

  • We fix broken approval chains and systems that do not talk to each other.
  • We concentrate on the gap between existing software and the work that actually needs to happen.
  • We do not deliver slide decks or abstract frameworks: we deliver working processes.
  • We consolidate drifting backlogs and update SOPs that no longer match reality.
  • We stay through the cutover period and the first month of live operation to ensure the fix holds.
  • We value clear documentation, named ownership, and plain English.

What You Will Do

  • Track project backlogs to identify tasks that have stayed in the same status for too long.
  • Update standard operating procedures (SOPs) as routing rules and workflows change for the infrastructure project.
  • Review project logs to find where data is drifting or losing accuracy during the update process.
  • Maintain the decision log for our engagement with the UK infrastructure specialist to ensure every choice is documented.
  • Assist with manual reconciliation of project data across different software tools to keep budgets and timelines accurate.
  • Check that project files follow our specific naming conventions and documentation standards.
  • Monitor the progress of specific routing changes to ensure they reach the finish line without being forgotten.
  • Draft weekly status updates that focus on facts and blockers rather than filler language.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What You Bring

  • A genuine interest in how large businesses organize their internal work and project data.
  • The ability to look at a spreadsheet or a log and notice when something looks incorrect or out of place.
  • Comfort using basic productivity tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, or common task trackers.
  • A preference for plain English and clear communication over corporate jargon.
  • The discipline to work effectively in a fully remote environment without constant supervision.
  • Willingness to learn how technical systems and routing rules connect to project outcomes.
  • A habit of checking your own work for errors before sharing it with the rest of the team.
  • Curiosity about why a process broke down in the first place and how to prevent it from happening again.

What We Offer

  • The position is full-time and provides a competitive salary that is attractive for an entry-level role in the project management sector.
  • A fully remote work setup that allows you to perform your duties from any quiet, reliable workspace.
  • Exposure to real operational problems and the methods used to solve them in a high-stakes infrastructure environment.
  • A focus on tangible results and finishing projects rather than maintaining long-term retainers.
  • Opportunity to learn about PMO structures and operational efficiency from the ground up.
  • Access to a team that values technical honesty and straightforward feedback.

We avoid unnecessary meetings at Tech Pipeline. Most of our coordination happens through written updates and detailed documentation. We believe the tool a client already owns is usually where the fix belongs, so we spend our time there instead of trying to build new platforms from scratch. Our work is finished when the client team can run the new process without us. We track every change in a decision log so there is no ambiguity about why a choice was made. If you enjoy fixing the small, broken parts of a large system and want to see how projects actually get done, this role provides that experience.
