Are you a highly organised project professional who thrives on bringing structure, clarity, and momentum to complex programmes? Affinity Water is looking for a PMO Coordinator Lead to join our team.
The Role:
As the PMO Coordinator Lead, you will take a pivotal role in successful delivery of Affinity Water’s Capital Investment Programme. You will ensure projects of varying scale are delivered to time, cost, and quality through robust governance, proactive coordination, and clear communication. By fostering collaboration across teams and championing best practices, you will enable the efficient and effective operation of the Capital Investment Programme.
What you'll be doing:
This role requires a confident leader who can inspire and guide the PMO coordination team, influence stakeholders, promote best practice and continuously improve processes to support strategic objectives.
Reporting to the PMO Manager within the Investment Programme Management (IPM) team, you will work closely with functions such as Investment Estimating, Investment Portfolio, Investment Risk & Planning, and Programme Management community, as well as business partners in finance and commercial. This role is a perfect opportunity for an individual who is highly motivated, passionate, proactive, and innovative and is looking to take on more responsibilities.
Some of these responsibilities include:
- Submission of papers, IPM team approvals, and verification that all submissions/approvals follow established governance protocols.
- Change Control: Escalate any uncontrolled changes to the PMO Manager promptly to maintain project integrity and compliance.
- Totex Secretariat: Provide full secretariat support for TG/TC meetings, including agenda preparation, accurate minute-taking, time management, and coordination of meeting logistics. Follow up on action points for Capital Investment Programme (projects, programmes, portfolios) and leadership meetings considering IPM team involvement.
- Administrative Management: Accountable for managing all IPM calendars and scheduling meetings to ensure smooth operations. Maintain the PMO Forward Planner to ensure timely and appropriate planning and management of relevant meetings inputs and outputs (risks, issues, actions, decisions). Coordinate and participate in relevant meetings, accurately report attendance when necessary, and provide PMO information, advice, and support as required.
- Organise IPM team site visits and other logistical arrangements, ensuring efficient operations and effective engagement between the PMO team and stakeholders.
- Project & Programme Delivery: Support the PMO function to ensure that the portfolio of tasks/projects is planned, managed, and delivered effectively. Fusion Management / Super user- ensure creation, monitoring & closure of project spends on Fusion. Support the team to ensure the timely capture of lessons learned throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure all expenditure commitments and all payments are properly authorised, controlled and monitored in accordance with IPM procedures.

Benefits:
- Salary: £33,000 - £41,000 (salary dependant on skills and experience)
- Hours of Work: 08:30am - 17:00pm (Mon - Thurs) 08:30am - 16:30pm (Friday)
