Hybrid role requiring 4 days a week onsite in London
6 month contract to start but multi-year programme with strong likelihood of extension.
Job Purpose Statement
The role is within the Global Transformation and Change team at Columbia Threadneedle Investments. The team is a key part of delivering strategic goals, objectives and outcomes set by functional and workstream leads. The PMO Lead will support a large, complex business transformation programme across Core EMEA. Reporting to the PMO Manager, the PMO Lead will support their assigned Programme Manager across a large and complex business transformation programme, helping to ensure effective governance, financial management, resource management, planning, and reporting activities.
The role will work closely with their Program Manager, PMO Manager and key stakeholders to provide timely management information, financial insights, and executive-level reporting that support informed decision-making and successful programme delivery. The PMO Lead supports the implementation and continuous improvement of PMO processes, controls, and reporting, whilst coordinating programme governance activities, resource planning, financial tracking, RAID management and stakeholder communications. The role plays a key part in ensuring programme information is accurate, transparent, and aligned with organisational objectives.
Role Responsibilities
- Lead programme financial governance, including budget tracking, forecasting, invoice management, cost management controls and financial reporting.
- Develop and maintain financial MI, executive dashboards and analysis to support programme and business decision-making.
- Manage resource governance processes across the programme, including workforce planning, supply and demand management and resource utilisation tracking.
- Drive process improvements to optimise delivery outcomes, improve consistency and strengthen PMO control standards.
- Lead programme governance activities including RAID management, dependency tracking, portfolio reporting, steering committee support, status reporting and management presentations.
- Produce clear, concise and compelling executive presentations, decision papers and management reports for senior leadership and governance forums.
- Implement processes, controls, tools, templates and reporting standards, aligned to central PMO expectations.
- Partner with programme leadership, business stakeholders, finance teams, delivery teams and central PMO to resolve issues, manage dependencies and support successful delivery.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to simplify reporting, strengthen controls and improve the quality of programme information.

Required Experience and Capabilities
- Experience in supporting a program manager within a large, complex programmes or portfolios, preferably with a multi-million-pound budgets.
- Strong programme financial management experience, including budget planning, forecasting, invoice management, financial controls and MI reporting.
- Proven ability to produce high-quality executive, steering committee and board-level presentations, reports and decision papers.
- Strong understanding of programme and portfolio governance, including RAID management, dependency management, delivery assurance and status reporting.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, including the creation of dashboards, analytical reporting and senior management presentations.
- Advanced stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, challenge and support senior leaders, delivery teams and cross-functional partners.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex programme financial, resource and delivery data into clear and actionable insights.
- Experience working within business change transformation projects in Financial Services.

Preferred Experience
- PRINCE2 Practitioner, MSP, PMP or equivalent programme/project management qualification.
- Experience with portfolio management tools.
- Experience creating executive dashboards using Power BI or equivalent reporting tools.
- Previous experience working in a leading consulting organisation.
- Experience within Asset Management, Wealth Management or Investment Management, including an understanding of front, middle and back-office operating models.
