PMO Lead – Data Centres

Location: Central London, hybrid
Salary: £80,000 - £120,000 + bonus + benefits

The Role

Capstone has partnered with a leading global construction and real estate consultancy who are seeking an experienced PMO Lead to support the delivery of major data centre construction programmes. You will establish effective governance and oversee planning, cost, risk, change and reporting activities throughout the project lifecycle, from design through to commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain PMO governance, processes and procedures.
  • Define and manage project baselines across scope, cost and schedule.
  • Lead planning and project controls teams.
  • Oversee integrated schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
  • Monitor performance against approved baselines and validate contractor updates.
  • Produce progress reports, forecasts, critical-path analysis and dashboards.
  • Manage project risks, opportunities, changes and delays.
  • Lead governance reviews, progress meetings and stakeholder workshops.
  • Ensure PMO requirements are implemented across the supply chain.
  • Support resource planning, project assurance and lessons learned.
  • Develop and mentor team members.
  • Deputise for the Project Manager when required.

Skills and Experience

  • Strong knowledge of data centre construction and the full project lifecycle, from design through to commissioning.
  • Experience leading a PMO or project controls function on complex construction projects.
  • Strong planning, cost, risk and change-management expertise.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
  • Experience producing reports and dashboards using Excel and Power BI.
  • Excellent client, stakeholder and team leadership skills.
  • Ability to translate complex project information into clear reports and presentations.
  • Organised, proactive and comfortable working within a fast-paced consultancy environment.
