Ofgem is looking for two Policy Managers to join us and help shape the regulation of energy networks at a pivotal moment in the UK’s decarbonisation journey.

About the Role
We're offering two permanent, full-time opportunities to play a key role in delivering some of our most important programmes and ensure vital projects are effectively managed and successfully delivered.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the definition, implementation, and on-going management of the agreed project management approach/plan for the project.
- Ensure the project is using the agreed project management framework, using the standard project tools and templates.
- Coordinate reporting from the project and provide analysis of performance to inform management decisions.
- Provide administration to project team by co-ordinating project activities and events, such as capturing minutes, actions & decisions.
- Ensure mechanisms and reporting tools are in place to enable effective planning and scheduling, ensuring the project has clear milestones and project plan to support effective delivery.
- Recognise and track dependencies.
- Maintain the quality of information in resource management tools.
- Support the identification and monitoring of project risks and issues and escalate as appropriate.
- Manage professional relationships and engage with a wide range of stakeholders both internal and external.

Key Outputs and Deliverables
- Assist with planning, maintaining the portfolio plan.
- Maintain RAID log for portfolio.
- Create and maintain library of portfolio documentation.
- Manage PMO shared mailbox & SharePoint site.
- Offer suggestions to improve processes & tooling to deliver better outcomes and efficiencies.
Person Specification
Essential Criteria:
- Experience in developing delivery plans, including clear and transparent work objectives, milestones, and success metrics (LEAD).
- Skilled collaborator with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation and influencing skills at senior levels.
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and ad hoc tasks.
- Experience of project reporting including creating & updating project dashboards and RAID logs.
