LET'S CUT STRAIGHT TO IT
We're looking for an experienced Programme Planner to join our Strategic Delivery Office (SDO) team and support the successful delivery of major capital investment programmes across our business.
Using Oracle Primavera Cloud (OPC), you'll develop, maintain and analyse integrated schedules, providing the insight needed to support effective decision-making, optimise delivery performance and deliver successful programme outcomes.
As a trusted planning professional, you’ll sit at the heart of programme delivery — working collaboratively with Delivery, Design, Commercial teams, and our supply chain partners. Your insight, analysis and foresight will directly influence decision making, helping leaders understand schedule risk and performance to enable the successful delivery of complex capital programmes.
This role offers the opportunity to influence major capital programmes through high-quality planning, analysis and insight.
Location: Raynesway (Derby), Shelton (Shrewsbury) or Finham (Coventry).
Hybrid working, typically 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.
Travel: Occasional site visits across the Midlands (full UK driving licence required).
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Developing, maintaining and reporting integrated, logic-linked schedules across multiple projects, programmes and workstreams using Oracle Primavera Cloud (OPC).
- Conducting schedule analysis, critical path assessment, forecasting and scenario planning, identifying variances, risks, opportunities and delivery impacts to support effective decision-making.
- Undertaking schedule assurance and health assessments to ensure schedule quality, integrity and compliance with planning standards.
- Collaborating with Delivery, Commercial, Design and Supply Chain teams to coordinate programme activities, interfaces and dependencies.
- Producing planning reports, updating dashboards and providing insights to support programme performance, governance and decision-making.
- Championing continuous improvement of planning standards, processes and capability.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
