Resource & Workforce Planning Specialist (Contract)

3 Days Per Week (Tues, Weds, Thurs) | Hybrid (mostly remote)

We are currently supporting a major UK telecommunications programme and are seeking an experienced Resource & Workforce Planning Specialist to join the Portfolio Management Office on a part-time contract basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong coordination, planning and stakeholder management skills who enjoys operating at the centre of a busy programme environment. You will play a key role in managing resource demand, contractor onboarding and workforce administration, ensuring the business has the right people in place to deliver critical infrastructure projects.

The Role

Working closely with programme managers, hiring managers, suppliers and recruitment partners, you will take ownership of resource planning and workforce management activities across a large-scale network development function.

You will coordinate the end-to-end resource lifecycle, from capturing requirements and raising purchase orders through to onboarding, systems access and offboarding.

This position would suit someone with experience in PMO, workforce planning, resource management, project coordination or programme support within telecoms, engineering, infrastructure or technology environments.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
