About The Role

This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of how Networks Planning & Performance delivers its projects, programmes and portfolios.

You'll lead the strategy for tooling, reporting and future capabilities, introducing modern ways of working through platforms such as Jira, Power BI, PPM tools and AI solutions. By creating greater visibility, consistency and insight across delivery, you'll help teams make better decisions, accelerate outcomes and realise benefits sooner for our customers. Beyond improving performance today, you'll play a key role in building the skills, capabilities and delivery practices needed for the future, ensuring strategic priorities are translated into clear plans, trusted data and effective execution across the organisation.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Define and maintain the Networks Planning & Performance tooling strategy, aligning Jira, Power BI, PPM and AI capabilities to business priorities.
  • Lead the design, build and rollout of improved tooling, reporting and portfolio management capabilities across Networks Delivery.
  • Create trusted data and reporting outputs that improve visibility of delivery performance, risks, dependencies and strategic commitments.
  • Partner with project, portfolio and delivery teams to simplify ways of working, reduce manual effort and improve consistency across the project lifecycle.
  • Drive adoption of new tools and processes through practical guidance, training, communications and hands-on support for the project community.
  • Use automation, analytics and AI to improve planning, governance, reporting and decision-making.
  • Support colleagues to build future skills in tooling, reporting and data-led delivery, uplifting capability across Networks.
  • Measure progress, embed feedback and continuously improve the roadmap so it remains aligned to business outcomes and customer benefit.

Essential Skills / Experience

  • Experience improving ways of working, tools and reporting in a project/portfolio environment end to end with over 150 people in the organisation
  • Worked with development teams to configure platforms that work for Portfolio Management
  • Built Portfolio Level Reporting & Insight across different areas of the organisation
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, change and a test-and-learn approach, with the drive to bring ideas to life
  • Use data and insight to spot issues, shape decisions and make delivery performance easier to understand.
  • Able to work with different teams, understand needs and build simple solutions that people will use.

Desirable Skills / Experience

  • Usage of Automation tooling such as Power Apps, Power Automated and Copilot Studio
  • Built End-to-End Power BI Dashboards from Semantic Models to Dashboard Output
  • Experience with tools such as Jira, Power BI, PPM platforms, Confluence, Copilot Studio or other AI-enabled solutions.
  • Experience supporting adoption, training or capability uplift across a team or wider community.
  • Interest in automation, AI, visualisation or new technology that can make work simpler, faster and better.
