Role description

THE ROLE

The AIM of the Corrosion Lead Engineer is to ensure efficient delivery of Jaguar Land Rover products that meet or exceed all customer expectations for corrosion performance. Following System Engineering Principles, this is achieved through attribute target setting, requirement decomposition & verification and validation Sign Off using both Virtual and Physical test methods. To ensure optimum design and delivery the role will strive to continuously improve processes, methods and solutions.

AREA OF RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support delivery of all corrosion requirement targets by Gateway
  • Support the Programme Attribute Team to ensure all technical issues are identified and resolved
  • Engagement in attribute and programme agile events, agreeing dependencies and quarterly delivery plans with stakeholders
  • Produce solutions for projects, and be able to apply technical subject matter expertise to new knowledge into Foundation knowledge and vehicle programs
  • Working with system and component areas to define and maintain cascaded target requirements in support of overall vehicle level targets (RMDV, Doors as reqd)
  • Work with component engineers and suppliers as required to drive implementation and resolution of all engineering solutions
  • Deliver technical recommendations and reports
  • Support and maintain the Automated Issues Management System (AIMS) and track these to successful resolution.
