About the Show
The Business of Healthcare is approaching its 400th episode. It is a conversation show for leaders working in and for the health and care system, helping them understand the different parts of that system and why working together is so difficult.
From episode 400 the show moves to two episodes a month, recorded in studio, with a deliberate focus on growth.
The podcast is hosted on Libsyn. LinkedIn is our primary channel for promotion, and YouTube is where we are looking to grow.
The Role
One person to own the show’s reach. You will not be told what to post. You will decide what the channels need and make it happen.
I need someone who is both strategic and hands-on. You will set the direction and then do the work. I am not looking for a quick win. I am looking for a long-term partner.
I want to work with someone who gets to know the show, my audience, and stays. Not an account I get passed around.
Responsibilities
- Work with me each quarter on the content plan, then own everything that happens after the record
- Own the YouTube channel end to end: strategy, titles, thumbnails, descriptions, chapters, playlists and shorts cadence
- Turn each episode into two weeks of LinkedIn and YouTube activity, including clips, quotes and supporting posts
- Manage the studio relationship, briefing and reviewing clips so they meet the show’s standard
- Build and run a distribution plan that does not depend on me being the bottleneck
- Report monthly on agreed growth measures

You Will Suit This Role If
- You genuinely love podcasting and have opinions about what makes a show grow
- You have grown a channel or a show before and can show what you did
- You work independently and bring ideas rather than wait for instruction
- You are comfortable in a professional, non-consumer subject area
- You communicate clearly and keep things moving without needing to be chased
- You are patient, thorough and organised
- You are results-driven and comfortable being measured on growth
- You understand that I run a consultancy alongside the podcast, so my time is pulled in several directions, and the show needs someone who can carry it forward without me

Practicalities
Freelance, remote. Fee negotiable based on experience. Please include your rate and the hours you would need.
The show and its audience are UK-based. You do not have to be, but the time zones need to work. This is a relationship built on conversation, not text and voice notes, so we need to be able to speak regularly and at reasonable hours for both of us.
