It highlights success stories of Indian professionals and leaders overseas while offering practical guidance on visas, relocation, and wealth planning.
Role Description
The Podcast Host (Volunteer) – The Indian Impact is a part-time, remote role responsible for planning, hosting, and recording podcast episodes that reflect the experiences and perspectives of the Indian diaspora.
Day-to-day tasks include:
- Researching topics (also provided by the team)
- Identifying and inviting guests
- Preparing interview questions
- Conducting engaging, structured conversations
The host will collaborate with the core team on episode themes, show formats, and content calendars, while ensuring each episode aligns with the platform’s mission and tone. Additional responsibilities may involve:

This volunteer role is ideal for individuals passionate about diaspora stories, media, and building a thoughtful global Indian community.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead clear, engaging conversations and represent the brand professionally.
- Solid Writing abilities for scripting, episode outlines, and show notes, including a clear and concise writing style.
- Effective Research skills to identify relevant topics, understand diaspora issues, and prepare well-informed interview questions.
- Confident Interviewing skills, including active listening, follow-up questioning, and creating a comfortable environment for guests.
- Practical Social Media skills to help promote episodes, engage listeners, and support community-building across platforms.
- Comfort with audio/video recording tools and basic familiarity with podcast workflows is beneficial.
- Interest or experience in storytelling, journalism, or hosting audio/video content is advantageous.
- Deep understanding of or lived experience within the Indian diaspora, along with cultural sensitivity and an inclusive mindset, is strongly preferred.
- Reliable internet access and ability to commit consistent part-time hours in a remote, collaborative environment are required.
