Position:

Full-time contract
On-site: minimum four days per week in our Central London (Farringdon) office

Role Summary:

As a Podcast Producer at Sassy+, you will help lead the end-to-end production of audio and video podcasts across corporate, branded, and consumer formats. This is a full-time, studio-based role (minimum 4 days per week on-site in Farringdon) supporting the development and scaling of Sassy+ as a premium podcast producer.

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality podcast content from concept through to distribution, combining strong editorial judgement, technical production expertise, and operational discipline. This includes overseeing both studio and remote recordings, ensuring consistent quality across sound, picture, and storytelling.

Working closely with Creative, Accounts/Client Services, and Production teams, you will help shape podcast formats, manage complex production schedules, and ensure content is delivered efficiently, on time, and to a high standard. The role reports into the Head of Live and is central to building a scalable podcast offering within Sassy+.

Main Responsibilities

Podcast Production & Delivery

  • Help deliver end-to-end production of audio and video podcasts across corporate, branded, and consumer formats
  • Work closely with talent and production teams on studio-based recording sessions, ensuring high technical and editorial standards. Coordinate with external freelancers on additional recording sessions where required
  • Support post-production workflows including reviewing edits, providing feedback on sound design and colour grading, and ensuring final delivery meets quality standards
  • Ensure all content is delivered on time, to brief and to a consistently high quality

Technical Production

  • Help oversee professional audio recording equipment and technical workflows in the studio
  • Work with the production team to ensure high-quality sound standards across all recordings
  • Support video podcast production, including managing multi-camera setups and studio operations during sessions
  • Identify and troubleshoot technical issues during recording and production, escalating where needed
  • Help identify improvements to studio workflows and technical standards in collaboration with the team

Editorial & Creative Input

  • Contribute creative ideas to podcast formats, structure, and storytelling approach
  • Help develop episode plans, run orders, and content themes with the Creative and Accounts teams
  • Ensure content is engaging, on-brand, and aligned to client or brand objectives
  • Stay informed on podcast industry trends, formats, and audience behaviours to inform content decisions

Project Management & Organisation

  • Help manage production timelines across multiple podcast series and projects
  • Work directly with brands and talent and in a client-facing role.
  • Support coordination of talent, contributors, studios, and post-production schedules with the wider team
  • Work on the delivery of corporate podcast programmes, supporting with timeline planning and schedule coordination
  • Help ensure projects are delivered efficiently with clear communication across teams and clients
  • Maintain documentation and organisation across all productions

Distribution & Platform Management

  • Help manage podcast publishing and distribution across major platforms (Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube, etc.)
  • Ensure content is correctly formatted, optimised, and scheduled for publication
  • Develop and maintain understanding of podcast platform best practices for metadata, titles, artwork, and discoverability
  • Monitor basic performance metrics and contribute ideas on content optimisation

Client & Stakeholder Support

  • Work with Accounts/Client Services and Strategy teams to understand client objectives
  • Support client-facing communications around production timelines and delivery
  • Contribute to client-facing sessions where relevant
  • Track and analyse key performance metrics across all podcast platforms, compiling regular reports on downloads, listener demographics, and engagement trends.

Experience & Skills

  • Strong understanding of podcast platforms, distribution, and audience behaviour
  • Passion for podcasts and strong awareness of industry trends and formats
  • Proven experience producing both audio and video podcasts at a high level
  • Proven experience working in a talent and client-facing position
  • Experience with video podcast production and studio-based filming
  • Confident communicator, able to work across teams and with clients
  • Good technical expertise in audio recording, editing, and production workflows
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-led environment
  • Must be available to work from our Farringdon studio minimum 4 days per week

Performance Measures

  • Quality and consistency of podcast output (audio, video, and editorial)
  • Delivery of projects on time and in line with agreed schedules
  • Support of production team efficiency and workflows
  • Successful delivery of corporate podcast series and timelines
  • Understanding of distribution performance and content optimisation
  • Contribution to the development of Sassy+ podcast offering

NB Performance to be formally reviewed after three months to the end of probation and then annually.
